Wayne Township, PA (July 30, 2024) – According to officers, a motorcycle accident happened on Saturday, July 27, at about 12:45 p.m. on Route 6 at West Washington Street Extension in Wayne Township, outside of Corry.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, a 76-year-old New York woman was driving a Ford Escape west on Route 6 when her vehicle collided with a motorcycle that was traveling east.
The motorcyclist, identified by Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook on Monday as Thomas Sutton, 67, of Erie, was taken to UPMC Hamot, where he later died, authorities reported Monday morning. However, there is currently no word on any other injured victims' conditions. The inquiry is active and ongoing in the interim. In addition, local police have asked any witnesses to reach out.
