New Providence, PA - Two Hospitalized in Truck Accident on Beaver Valley Pke

New Providence, PA (July 31, 2024) – Crews responded to a vehicle accident involving a semi-truck with entrapment in Lancaster County around 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31.

Officials said that there was additional information about a tractor being overturned with one person under it. A group of bystanders helped to move the tractor enough to free the victim, who sustained unknown injuries. According to a Facebook post from Quarryville Fire Company, the crash occurred in the 2200 block of Beaver Valley Pike in Providence Township.

No details about the events leading up to the collision were released, but officers say that two people were taken to a local hospital. However, their current conditions remain unknown. PSP reported that the area was expected to be shut down for a significant period until the crash site was cleared. An investigation is being conducted in the interim.
