Richland, PA – One Killed in Fatal Car Accident on Rte 309 Near Tollgate Rd

Richland, PA (May 20, 2022) – One person was killed in a fatal car accident that took place on a major highway in Richland on Friday afternoon, May 20.

According to Bucks County officials, the accident happened around 1 p.m. on Route 309 around the area of Tollgate Road. Multiple vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not entirely known. The involved vehicles sustained heavy damage as a result of the accident.

Several local responders, including Bucks County fire responders and paramedics, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One person, who has not yet been identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. It is not known if anyone sustained injuries in the collision.

The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene so traffic could return to normal.
