Pittsburgh, PA – Critical Motorcycle Crash on Freeport Rd
Pittsburgh, PA (March 7, 2022) – On Friday afternoon, March 4, a critical motorcycle crash took place on a roadway in Pittsburgh.
According to Pittsburgh Police, the accident happened at 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Freeport Road and Evergreen Drive. A motorcyclist was traveling in the area when they entered the intersection at the same time as an SUV. This caused the motorcycle to slam into the back of the SUV in front of the local Walmart. The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and the motorcycle was badly damaged as a result of the crash.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The 45-year-old motorcyclist sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment of his critical injuries.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the intersection was blocked in the area for some time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.
