Philadelphia, PA – Pedestrian Hurt in Crash on Washington Ave near S 20th St
Philadelphia, PA (October 2, 2023) – A crash in the Point Breeze neighborhood sent one pedestrian to an area hospital with injuries.
The accident took place on Saturday evening, September 30.
According to official reports, a pedestrian, identified as an adult male, was struck by a vehicle in the 2000 block of Washington Avenue. At the time of the accident, the pedestrian was attempting to cross the roadway near South 20th Street.
After being struck by the vehicle, which police believed to have been an Infiniti, the pedestrian landed on top of the second vehicle. Both of the involved vehicles then fled the scene.
The pedestrian was severely injured as a result of the crash. The victim was transported to Jefferson Hospital, where they were admitted with severe head trauma. The victim remains in critical condition.
At this time, the Philadelphia Police Department is investigating.
