Philadelphia, PA - Man Identified in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on 61st St

Philadelphia, PA (September 17, 2024) – Police confirmed that a man was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident that took place on Sunday, September 15, in Southwest Philadelphia.

The incident reportedly took place on 61st Street and Passyunk Avenue around 3:30 a.m. Following the crash, a 28-year-old man, identified as Kyree Saunders, was pronounced dead at the hospital. Anyone with information is asked to contact the police. Furthermore, the Pennsylvania State Police is managing the ongoing investigation in the meantime. No further details were released during the interim, however.
