Philadelphia, PA (June 12, 2025) – A 68-year-old man was killed after being struck by a SEPTA train on Thursday, June 12, according to area authorities.
The man was struck around 5:15 a.m. in the 1000 block of West Nedro Street, near the Fern Rock Transit Center, in Philadelphia.
Police say the man was attempting to change train cars when he slipped and fell from the train. He was pronounced dead at the scene. However, anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line, and updates on the incident are expected as the investigation continues.
