Churchill, PA – Charmaine Sewell Killed in Fatal Rollover Crash on Beulah Rd

Churchill, PA (May 1, 2023) – A woman was killed in a fatal rollover collision that took place in Churchill on the morning of Sunday, April 30.

According to Allegheny County Police, the accident happened around 6:30 a.m. at 700 Beulah Road. Police confirmed that a silver SUV was traveling in the area when the driver skidded on the wet roadway. The vehicle then went around a bend in the area and rolled over, causing it to spark. It is believed that the driver of the vehicle was speeding at the time of the accident.

Several Allegheny County responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were immediately dispatched to the scene. A female passenger inside the vehicle, identified as 62-year-old Charmaine Sewell, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Three other people were inside the vehicle, but it is not known if any of them were injured.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for a period of time. This led to delays until the scene was fully cleared by police.
