Osterburg, PA – Thomas Osman Killed in Car Crash at Churchville Rd & William Penn Rd

Osterburg, PA (August 7, 2022) – One person was killed in a fatal car accident that took place at an intersection in Osterburg on Saturday afternoon, August 6.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened around 2:17 p.m. at the intersection of Churchville Road and William Penn Road. Police confirmed that a man was traveling through the intersection as a second vehicle was traveling south and crashed into the driver’s side of the first vehicle. The first vehicle then went off the side of the road until it came to a rest.

Energency responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the first vehicle, who has since been identified as 24-year-old Thomas J. Osman, was tragically pronounced dead after being rushed to the hospital. A passenger inside his vehicle was rushed to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries.

The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for a period of time.
