Several people were hurt, state police said, and multiple ambulances were called to the scene. However, police stated that there weren't any fatal victims. Our thoughts go out to the injured victims and their families. We hope for their full recovery at this time.
Our state witnesses thousands of vehicle accidents annually, resulting in serious injuries or fatalities for many drivers. When traveling on the multi-lane freeways and highly frequented interstates that cover our state, Pennsylvanians may be particularly worried about the hazards and risks of these serious accidents, just like residents of many other states. This is especially true on highways with higher speeds and a ton of traffic. As a result of the extensive network of highways and interstates that Pennsylvania has, it is unsurprising that our state experiences a significant amount of fatal and injury-causing collisions.
Moreover, accidents involving multiple drivers are even more likely to be catastrophic and even deadly. For example, in one recent year alone, 166,000 of these accidents occurred throughout the United States, around 4,700 of which resulted in deaths. Though Florida, Texas, and California were the top states for these accidents, Pennsylvania wasn't far behind. That said, those interested in filing claims against the insurance company of an at-fault driver in a Pennsylvania accident may face an uphill battle.
For these reasons and more, following a vehicle accident caused by another party's negligence, victims can and should take legal action with the help of a skilled attorney.
