Eden Township, PA (March 13, 2025) – A car was seriously damaged after a crash involving a school bus in Lancaster County on Wednesday morning, and several injuries were reported.
The wreck happened at Valley Road/Route 372 and May Post Office Road in Eden Township at 6:55 a.m. According to the Quarryville Fire Company, one person was trapped inside one of the vehicles upon arrival.
Rescue crews tore off the car doors to free the individual, and at least one victim was rushed to an area hospital. It's unclear what school district the bus belonged to and if any students were on board at the time. Fire police shut down the road and directed traffic until crews cleared the scene. Meanwhile, state police are handling the investigation into this incident, and no further details have been released.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families at this time. We hope for their complete recovery.
Bus Accidents in Pennsylvania
A bus accident can be an extremely devastating event to endure, particularly in the aftermath. Moreover, these accidents often result in severe injuries for those involved. This is because buses are much larger than other vehicles and carry far more passengers than standard cars and trucks. Additionally, most buses do not have seatbelts, which means people, generally children and students, are likely to be thrown around or even ejected from the vehicle during collisions.
Those involved in bus accidents are likely to suffer severe trauma to the head, broken bones, and internal organ injuries as a result of their accidents. Unfortunately, injured victims often have to spend a significant amount of time undergoing medical care. For these reasons and more, if you have been hurt in a bus accident, you must understand the legal options and your rights moving forward. An Eden Township personal injury lawyer can help you better understand your options following a collision and which ones will work best for you. In most cases, crash victims pursue legal action against the person responsible for the crash taking place.
This type of legal action, a personal injury lawsuit, can help you get money for your medical costs, the pain and suffering you have endured, lost wages, and more. It is in your best interest to file a legal claim immediately to ensure you have all the evidence needed to prove that the defendant was negligent and that you deserve the compensation necessary to cover your losses.
