New Castle, PA (May 27, 2026) – An e-bike rider was killed on Tuesday evening, May 26, after a collision with a marked sheriff's vehicle at South Walnut Street and County Line Street in New Castle. 

Jaycob Heasley, 25, was found unresponsive at the scene and was taken to UPMC Jameson, where he was pronounced dead. The vehicle involved belonged to the Butler County Sheriff's Office.

Pennsylvania State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Specialists responded to conduct a reconstruction investigation alongside local officers. No further details about the wreck were available at the time of publication.
