Dauphin Co, PA - Fatal Wrong-Way Crash on Rte 22 at MM 231

Dauphin County, PA (May 20, 2025) – A 77-year-old man died in a wrong-way crash over the weekend of May 17 on Route 22 in Dauphin County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The deadly wreck happened in the westbound lanes around mile 231 in Middle Paxton Township at 7:02 p.m., according to police. Police said a Jeep Wrangler collided head-on with the Suburban.

The first driver was transported to Holy Spirit Hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The second person's condition is still unknown, however. Pennsylvania State Police troopers are handling the investigation in the interim. No further details were released in the interim.
