Cumberland Co, PA - Injury-Causing Collision on I-81 at PA Hwy 944

Cumberland County, PA (February 24, 2025) – Fire crews were on the scene of a multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 81 southbound, dispatchers confirmed on Monday, February 24.

According to 511PA, crews responded to the scene of a crash on I-81 southbound near Exit 61 to Pennsylvania Highway 944 and Wertzville Road around 4:20 a.m. A lane restriction was in place, and delays backed up the roadway for at least an hour.

Firefighters, along with local officers and Pennsylvania State Police troopers, reported to the scene to assist, and paramedics took at least one to two people to a nearby hospital. The current conditions of the victims are unknown, but Cumberland County officials are asking anyone who may have seen the collision to contact officers.
