Clarion County, PA (March 19, 2024) – A fatal accident shut down traffic in both directions on part of Interstate 80 in Clarion County, Pennsylvania, about 42 miles east of the Ohio line.
According to officials, the multi-vehicle crash on I-80 closed both the eastbound and westbound lanes between the Knox exit to Highway 338 and Emlenton around 12:30 a.m. Traffic remained backed up until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday when the Emlenton Bridge eastbound reopened. No further details about those involved were released, but an investigation is still ongoing. Authorities with the Clarion County Police asked witnesses to get in touch as soon as possible.
