Chicora, PA (September 28, 2023) – The police have confirmed that one person was hospitalized following a motor vehicle accident that took place on Wednesday in Butler County.
Emergency officials were notified of the crash just after 4:00 p.m. on September 27.
According to official reports, 25-year-old Adam Burns was driving a box truck on East Slippery Rock Street. As he pulled off of the roadway and attempted to go south onto Main Street, his vehicle collided with a motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, identified as 32-year-old Cory Claypoole of Hillards, Pennsylvania, was severely injured in the crash. He was transported by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital, where he underwent emergency treatment.
Burns was not injured in the crash.
The investigation into the accident is currently underway.
