Chester, PA (February 7, 2025) – An 8-year-old boy is in critical condition after a driver hit him and sped off while he was getting off the bus in Chester on February 4.
The child was getting off a SEPTA bus at around 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday at 9th and Tilghman Streets. The young boy was hit by a car that went around the stopped bus and sped off; the child first went to Crozer and was airlifted to CHOP.
Chester police found the car, a 2005 silver Volvo sedan, on Wednesday in Philadelphia, though the driver is still on the run. In the meantime, the search continued, and the police strongly urged anyone with information regarding this incident to come forward.
