Centre Co, PA – Injury-Causing Vehicle Crash Closes I-99 at Shiloh Rd
Centre County, PA (September 8, 2024) – Part of Interstate 99 in Centre County was closed for several hours on Friday evening, September 8, after multiple car crashes, according to local officers.
I-99 northbound closed around 6:10 p.m. Friday between Exit 76 (Shiloh Road) and Exit 78A (PA 150 South) after a multi-vehicle crash. Dispatch reports confirmed that all lanes were closed, and at least one medical helicopter was called to the area. All lanes were back open at about 11:30 p.m., per the PennDOT.
The American Red Cross, Hollidaysburg Ambulance, and AMED were also called to the scene. That said, it’s unclear how many vehicles or injured victims were involved in the accident. In the meantime, troopers with the PSP are investigating in the interim but have asked any witnesses to come forward as soon as possible.
