Drunk and impaired driving remains one of the leading causes of serious traffic collisions across Pennsylvania. Each year, families suffer life changing injuries and loss due to drivers who make the reckless decision to operate a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The recent crash in Caernarvon Township is a tragic reminder of just how quickly lives can be changed by one careless choice.

According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, alcohol-related crashes accounted for nearly 7,700 collisions in 2022 alone. These crashes often involve head-on impacts, high speeds, and multiple vehicles. Victims of DUI crashes frequently suffer from traumatic injuries such as broken bones, spinal cord damage, traumatic brain injuries, and more.

The physical, emotional, and financial toll of a DUI crash can be overwhelming. Victims may face long hospital stays, expensive rehabilitation, lost income, and ongoing psychological distress.
