Losing a loved one in a fatal accident is an unimaginable tragedy that no one should have to experience. The heartbreaking reality is that it happens far too often, with over 1100 deaths each year in Pennsylvania alone. Various acts of negligence continue to contribute to the number of accidents that take place in Pennsylvania every year. Some of the most common causes of these accidents include failure to follow traffic laws, distracted driving, recklessness, and more.
For instance, when drivers do not yield to pedestrians who are passing in the area nearby, they can strike them and cause severe or fatal injuries. Furthermore, all too many motorists fail to stop at intersections, resulting in severe accidents that result in devastating injuries for those involved. Even worse, it is common for drivers to cause serious injuries that have devastating consequences for others if they ignore hazards or otherwise fail to pay attention to the road ahead. Distractions are one of the leading causes of crashes. People text, talk to others, or even eat while driving.
If you have been hurt as a result of a serious motor vehicle crash that was caused by the careless or reckless actions of another motorist, you have legal options to help you move forward. It is crucial to seek guidance from a Berks County car accident lawyer immediately.
