Allegheny Township, PA (December 25, 2024) – According to local authorities, an Allegheny Township woman died after a Sunday night crash on Route 356 in the township.
The 29-year-old woman was pronounced dead following a rollover collision, which involved a truck and another passenger vehicle. That said, the events leading up to the accident are still unknown. However, an investigation is being conducted in the interim, and no further details have been released. Witnesses were asked to step forward as soon as possible.
We extend our deepest condolences to the deceased woman's loved ones. Our thoughts go out to the injured victims and their families. We hope for their full recovery at this challenging time.
Thousands of motor vehicle accidents occur in our state annually, resulting in serious injuries or fatalities for many drivers. Like residents of many other states, Pennsylvanians may be particularly concerned about the dangers and risks of multi-driver accidents, especially when traversing the multi-lane roadways and heavily trafficked interstates spanning our state.
In addition, incidents that include several drivers or heavy-duty vehicles, such as trucks, have a significant probability of becoming catastrophic and even fatal on these roadways. For example, at least 166,000 truck accidents occurred throughout the United States in just one year. Approximately 4,678 of these were fatalities as a consequence of these serious wrecks.
Pennsylvania had around 10,000 to 12,000 truck accidents in the same year, meaning that our state ranked fourth for these semi-truck severe collisions. Approximately 250 to 300 people lost their lives in these incidents, and more than 4,000 to 5,000 were injured. That said, those interested in filing claims against the insurance company of an at-fault truck driver in a Pennsylvania truck accident may face an uphill battle. In other words, victims do not deal with the average motorist in these claims.
Regrettably, many insurance companies are concerned with minimizing their financial liability and increasing their profits to benefit their bottom line. Furthermore, since trucking companies are involved, victims are often up against well-funded enterprises that have an army of attorneys fighting for their interests, leaving victims and their families to attempt to cover their losses out of their pocket. For these reasons and more, following a vehicle accident caused by another party's negligence, victims can and should take legal action with the help of a skilled attorney.
