Pittsburgh, PA (December 23, 2024) – According to a news release from the Pittsburgh Police Department, two Pennsylvania State Troopers investigating a hit-and-run crash on the Parkway North in Pittsburgh were taken to a hospital after their vehicle was hit.
At around midnight on Monday, a car became disabled while heading on the Parkway North near the Hazlett Street Exit. The driver got out of their car and began to push it off the road. According to authorities, when a passing vehicle pulled off to help, a black Dodge Ram 1500 truck hit the driver, pushed his vehicle, and fled the area. That driver was treated at the scene and taken to an area hospital.
As Pennsylvania State Police were investigating the crash, a vehicle hit a marked State Police Vehicle with its lights and arrow sticks activated. Two troopers inside the vehicle were taken to a hospital. That said, no further details were released, and an investigation is ongoing.
