
Philadelphia, PA (July 31, 2025) – A man is hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash overnight in Philadelphia's Cobbs Creek neighborhood, police said.
According to police, the incident happened just before 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 31, at 58th and Delancey Streets. Police said an investigation revealed that a dark-colored Jeep Cherokee was traveling northbound on 58th Street when it struck a 32-year-old man who was attempting to cross Delancey Street. The driver of the Jeep Cherokee fled the scene and continued north on 58th Street.
Per officers, the man was transported to the hospital and listed in critical condition. At 5:45 a.m., officers recovered the unoccupied black Jeep Cherokee on the 6700 block of Chester Avenue. Police said that no arrests have been made in this case, but the investigation is ongoing with the Crash Investigation Division. The Philadelphia Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the Crash Investigation Division.
