Levittown, PA – Jason Smith Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Bristol Pike
Levittown, PA (February 6, 2023) – A man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident that took place in a parking lot in Levittown on Sunday afternoon, February 5.
According to the Bristol Township Police Department, the accident happened at 7700 Bristol Pike. Police confirmed that a male pedestrian was standing next to a gray Chevrolet Silverado in the local McDonald’s parking lot while they had an altercation with each other. The driver of the Chevrolet suddenly ran over the pedestrian and did not stop, heading toward Tullytown.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other Levittown responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has since been identified as 47-year-old Jason Smith, was rushed to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital with severe injuries. He was tragically pronounced deceased while there.
The driver of the fleeing vehicle left evidence at the scene, though it is not known if police have found them. They located a piece of plastic believed to belong to the Chevrolet, which is described as a four-door pickup truck with black rims and a vanity license plate.
