One Dead After Pedestrian Crash on Pike St in Chartiers Twp, PA

Chartiers Township, PA (May 24, 2026) – A person died early on Saturday morning, May 23, after being struck by a vehicle on Pike Stret in Chartiers Township. Dispatchers in the county were alerted shortly after 2 a.m. to the accident near the 500 block of Pike St in Washington County.

Investigators said a vehicle traveling south on Pike St hit a pedestrian for reasons that remain under review. The person was pronounced dead at the roadway. The driver stayed at the site and cooperated with the police following the fatal impact.

Later on Saturday morning, the Washington County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 21-year-old Philip Frye of Meadowlands, Pennsylvania. 

The investigation remains ongoing.
