Manheim Township, PA (August 3, 2025) – According to PennDOT officials, a vehicle crash closed Route 501 in Lancaster County early Sunday morning, August 3.
Emergency dispatch said that the apparent rollover crash occurred just after 6:00 a.m. at Route 501 and Buch Avenue. One person was taken to the hospital, and Route 501 was closed for close to three hours due to the crash.
At this time, the events leading up to the collision remain unclear. Manheim Township Police Department officers are investigating in the interim but have asked any witnesses to come forward as soon as possible.
Our thoughts go out to the injured victims and their families. We hope for their full recovery at this challenging time.
In one recent year, Pennsylvania recorded nearly 1,130 fatalities from auto accidents, the second-lowest number of traffic fatalities since PennDOT began keeping track of such data. Nevertheless, these deadly accidents still occur all too frequently, and justice remains owed to the families of these victims.
If a family member is killed in a collision, you have every right to hold the negligent motorist liable for your loss. Regrettably, most insurance companies are concerned with minimizing their financial liability and increasing their profits to benefit their bottom line. For these reasons and more, following a vehicle accident caused by another party's negligence, victims can and should take legal action with the help of a skilled attorney. Accident victims must reach out to a personal injury lawyer.
