Lower Macungie, PA – Mill Creek Rd Crash Takes One Life

Lower Macungie, PA (November 1, 2023) – A 67-year-old woman from Lower Macungie lost her life as a result of a crash that occurred on Monday afternoon in Lehigh County.

At around 1:00 p.m. on October 30, the Pennsylvania State Police and firefighters were called to a crash that occurred on Mill Creek Road.

PSP reports show that an SUV and a pickup truck collided on Mill Creek Road near Hamilton Boulevard during the afternoon hours. The incident prompted state troopers in Fogelsville to close down the roadway.

A passenger in the SUV, identified as 67-year-old Kathy Ann Schuessler, suffered severe injuries. She was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where she died from her injuries. She was pronounced deceased by Lehigh County coroner Daniel Buglio.

No other injuries were reported.

At this time, investigations are underway by the Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office, and the Pennsylvania State Police.
