Harrison Twp, PA - Two Dead in Go-Kart Crash at Allegheny & Milligans Cove Rds

Harrison Township, PA (August 9, 2025) – A 17-year-old girl from Altoona and a 21-year-old man from Manns Choice were killed on Wednesday night, August 6, in a crash involving a Ram truck and a go-kart in Harrison Township.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the collision occurred just before 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Allegheny Road and Milligans Cove Road. Investigators say the Ram truck was traveling northbound when it crossed the double yellow line and struck a Fox Vortex go-kart head-on.

The impact lodged the go-kart beneath the truck. Police said the passenger, the 17-year-old from Altoona, was ejected, while the driver, identified as 21-year-old Jayson Diehl, became trapped in the vehicle. The go-kart came to rest on the southbound shoulder, while the truck continued off the roadway and struck a tree. The truck’s driver was not injured.

Both Diehl and the teenage passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by Pennsylvania State Police. In the meantime, police will update with more information as it is available.
