Fairview Twp, PA - One Injured in Multi-Vehicle Wreck on I-83 at Ex 43/Limekiln Rd

Fairview Township, PA (November 21, 2024) – A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 83 injured one person in York County, according to emergency dispatch's reports on Wednesday, November 20.

Per responding officials, emergency crews responded to the wreck in the northbound lanes at Exit 40, Limekiln Road, in Fairview Township at around 11:30 a.m. Dispatch added that one person was taken to the hospital. According to PennDOT, however, all injuries were non-life-threatening.

The crash blocked multiple lanes of traffic, causing a severe backup on Interstate 83 Northbound. PennDOT said there was a significant amount of fuel and liquids on the road that had to be cleaned up. Meanwhile, troopers with the Pennsylvania State Police are investigating in the interim but have asked any witnesses to come forward as soon as possible.
