Ephrata, PA – Teen Killed in Fatal Crash at Garden Spot Rd & N Reading Rd

Ephrata, PA (May 28, 2022) – A teen was killed in a fatal car accident that took place at an intersection in Ephrata on Friday night, May 27.

According to local officials, the accident happened at the intersection of Garden Spot Road and North Reading Road around 11:45 p.m. Police confirmed that two vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided at the intersection due to reasons that are not yet known. As a result, both vehicles were extensively damaged.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Both drivers of the involved vehicles were trapped inside their cars following the crash. One of the drivers, identified as a teenager, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver was freed and rushed to Reading Hospital for treatment of traumatic injuries.

The roadway was blocked at the intersection for an extended period of time following the accident.

No further details have been released. Pennsylvania State Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
