Center City, PA (July 18, 2025) – Police were on scene after what appeared to be a multi-car crash in Philadelphia on Thursday, July 17.
The crash happened at the intersection of 19th Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard in Center City on July 17, just before 8:00 p.m. One driver said he was sitting at a stoplight at 17th and JFK when a car rear-ended him. He said that he thinks it was a dark-colored car.
Due to the severity of the crash, the area was temporarily closed off to allow police and emergency crews to investigate and clear the roadway. The closure caused delays for motorists in the area while EMTs responded.
Police have not yet released further information about how the accident occurred or the identities of those involved. Investigators are currently working to piece together the events leading up to the crash and find the suspect vehicle.
We hope those injured in this accident recover quickly.
