Philadelphia, PA - Man Dies in SEPTA Accident at Broad St & Oregon Ave

Philadelphia, PA (May 12, 2025) – SEPTA is dealing with several separate fatal incidents that occurred over the weekend, between May 10 and May 11, according to area authorities.

Two different people were killed at two different spots on the subway tracks along the Broad Street Line in South Philadelphia. In one incident, a man was fatally struck by a SEPTA train around 6:15 p.m. Sunday at Broad Street and Oregon Avenue. However, anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line, and updates on the incident are expected as the investigation continues.
