Scott Township, PA (January 22, 2026) – Three people suffered injuries after a vehicle crashed into a Denny’s restaurant in Scott Township on January 21. The accident happened just after 9 a.m. along Greentree Road and sent several people to the hospital.
The Scott Township Police said a blue SUV drove into the restaurant building during the morning hours. According to authorities, a 91-year-old man was driving the vehicle at the time of the crash. Investigators reported that the driver mistakenly pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake, which caused the SUV to accelerate forward and strike the structure.
Customers were inside the restaurant when the crash occurred. Emergency units arrived quickly and began assisting those hurt inside the building. Officials confirmed that three people suffered minor injuries during the incident.
Medical crews transported the injured individuals to St. Clair Hospital. Authorities said the patients went to the hospital for observation and treatment. Officials have not released additional details about the specific injuries.
The driver did not appear injured during the incident. Police questioned him at the scene following the crash. A family member later picked him up and took him home. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
Our thoughts remain with those injured as they recover from their injuries.
Crashes that happen inside restaurants or stores often raise immediate questions. People want to understand how injuries occurred and what steps come next. These incidents happen suddenly and leave little time to react.
When a vehicle enters a building, the risk of injury increases. People may suffer cuts, bruises, head injuries, or broken bones. Some injuries appear minor at first but worsen later. Medical evaluations help identify issues early and guide follow-up care.
Recovery can take time, even after minor injuries. Doctor visits, imaging, and physical therapy may become part of the process. Some people also miss work while healing. Keeping medical paperwork organized helps track care and future needs.
Beyond medical treatment, practical concerns often arise. Insurance claims may involve drivers, property owners, and business insurers. Understanding how coverage applies can feel confusing without guidance. Clear documentation helps answer questions during this stage.
A personal injury lawyer can help explain available options after an accident in a business. Legal guidance may include reviewing medical records, incident reports, and insurance correspondence. An attorney can also explain what types of compensation may be available, depending on the facts.
Some people want to know how long they have to act. Pennsylvania law sets time limits for injury claims. Early information helps people understand these deadlines without added pressure.
Legal consultations often focus on clarity. Lawyers typically explain options rather than push decisions. This approach helps people make informed choices while focusing on recovery.
