We wish the victim and everyone involved a speedy recovery.
Motorcycle accidents often result in severe or fatal injuries because riders are exposed and lack the same protective barriers as passengers in cars. The situation becomes even more dangerous when riders are thrown from their bikes, as seen in this Harrisburg crash, leaving them vulnerable to secondary impacts from other vehicles.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, over 3,000 motorcycle crashes occur each year across the state, with hundreds of fatalities and thousands of serious injuries. Many of these incidents are caused by drivers failing to see motorcycles when changing lanes, turning, or entering intersections. Poor road conditions and visibility can also contribute to collisions.
Victims of serious motorcycle collisions often face long recovery periods, mounting medical expenses, and emotional distress. In many cases, these accidents result from another motorist’s negligence, such as distracted driving, speeding, or impaired driving. When this occurs, injured riders may have the right to pursue compensation for their injuries and financial losses.
