Yukon, PA – Three Injured in Rollover Crash on Mt Pleasant Rd
Yukon, PA (May 29, 2023) – Three people sustained injuries in a rollover crash that took place in Yukon on the afternoon of Saturday, May 27.
According to Westmoreland County officials, the accident happened around 4:35 p.m. on Mt. Pleasant Road. Police confirmed that a driver was traveling in the area when they lost control of their vehicle due to unknown reasons. The vehicle crashed and immediately overturned, leading to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other Yukon responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A total of three people inside the vehicle were trapped and had to be rescued by fire crews. The victims all sustained injuries. Two people were so seriously injured that they had to be flown to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment. The unidentified victim’s condition is not yet known.
A large portion of the roadway was blocked in the area for some time after the accident.
No further details have been released at this time. Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
