York, PA – Jeffrey Heishman Killed in Fatal Car Accident on PA-74

York, PA (May 6, 2022) – A man lost his life in a fatal car accident on a major highway in York on Thursday evening, May 5.

York County officials responded to the scene, where they discovered that two vehicles were involved in the accident on PA-74. Police claim that 56-year-old Jeffrey Heishman was traveling in a GMC pickup truck in the area and headed south. The driver of a Subaru Legacy did not stop at a stop sign in the area, which caused the driver to collide with the pickup truck. Both vehicles were heavily damaged as a result.

Various emergency responders arrived at the scene to offer assistance. Heishman was critically injured in the accident and rushed to WellSpan York. He was tragically pronounced dead due to his injuries while there. It is not known if the driver of the Subaru sustained injuries in the accident.

The roadway was blocked off to major traffic for an extended period of time as the scene was cleared.
