Car Crashes into Side of Woman’s Home

York, PA (July 4, 2018) – On Wednesday, a man named Kameron Smith crashed his car into the side of a woman’s house. Smith was driving 80 mph under the influence while trying to escape authorities. The chase went on for 2 miles until Smith drove into the southbound lane on North George Street in Manchester Township, where he crashed into the side of Jennifer Smith’s home. Officials state that Smith was driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle. Jennifer Smith’s home surveillance captured the accident. The crash left a large hole in the side of Smith’s house. Because of all the property damage, Smith worries that her homeowner’s insurance policy will increase. The estimated total for reparation is $20,000.

The driver, Smith, is facing multiple charges for this crime, which are: driving under the influence, driving under suspension, fleeing and eluding, and driving an unregistered vehicle.

Car Accidents

The number one cause for car accidents is negligent driving, which negatively affect the lives of those involved. Negligent driving includes: driving under the influence, speeding, utilizing a cell phone, looking away from the road, and talking to another passenger. Negligent driving is a choice and easily fixable; however, the damages and losses victims suffer are not. The homeowner, Smith, has a right to receive compensation for the damages her home suffered due to another person’s negligence.

At Edelstein, Martin, & Nelson, we understand how detrimental and tragic accidents can be, which is why we prioritize our clients’ cases to ensure they receive the compensation they deserve for any losses. If you, or someone you know, has been involved in a car accident, call 888-208-1810.
