Wrightsville, PA (September 13, 2021) – Around 5 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, September 12, a car crash with injuries occurred on a bridge in Wrightsville.
According to York County officials, the accident happened on the Veterans Memorial Bridge around the area of Lancaster County. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene. Multiple children and adults were injured in the crash. Several of the injuries were incredibly severe and the victims were rushed to hospitals by medical helicopters.
The bridge was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
