Williamstown, PA – Two Teens Killed in House Fire on E Market St

Williamstown, PA (October 1, 2020) – Around 2:20 a.m. on Tuesday morning, September September 29, two people were killed in a fatal house fire in Williamstown.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the fire began in a bedroom, though police have not yet determined what led to the fire. The fire began in one building and spread to the two houses on both sides. It took fire crews four hours to put out the fire.

When fire crews went inside the home where the fire started, they found the bodies of two victims. One was identified as a 17-year-old girl and the other was identified as an 18-year-old named Logan Mitchell. The victims died due to severe burn injuries and smoke inhalation.

A total of four adults and six children were displaced as a result of the fire. They have since been provided with food, clothing, and temporary housing.

No other parties were injured as a result of the fire.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
