Wilkes-Barre, PA (June 28, 2020) – On Friday night, June 26, a woman was killed in a fatal 18-wheeler crash on I-81.
The Pennsylvania State Police confirmed that a woman was driving a sedan northbound when it collided with the rear end of an 18-wheeler in the right lane.
The driver of the sedan, identified as a 42-year-old woman, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Her 12-year-old female passenger was taken to the hospital with injuries.
The driver of the truck was not injured and cooperated with the police.
No further details have been released but the investigation is currently ongoing.
