Wilkes-Barre, PA – Tractor-Trailer Collision at PA-315 & Sunset DrLawPaWriter
Wilkes-Barre, PA (May 18, 2021) – At 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning, May 18, a tractor-trailer collision involving a school bus took place in Wilkes-Barre.
According to officials, the accident happened at the intersection of PA-315 and Sunset Drive. The bus was stopped at the intersection and attempting to turn left at the intersection when the tractor-trailer crossed the yellow line and struck the bus.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The drivers of the bus and the tractor-trailer were both taken to area hospitals for treatment of injuries but are expected to recover. There were 14 students on the bus but none were injured.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
