Wilkes-Barre, PA – Pedestrian Crash Involving Vehicle into Building at Petco

Wilkes-Barre, PA (January 15, 2023) – An accident involving a Petco in Wilkes-Barre led to injuries on the evening of Sunday, January 15.

According to Luzerne County officials, the accident happened around 5:15 p.m. at the local Petco. Police confirmed that a white passenger vehicle was traveling in the area when they drove through the parking lot and slammed into a local Petco, causing them to run inside the store. Several people were inside the store at the time.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were immediately called to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the vehicle was not hurt in the accident. However, several pedestrians inside the store were injured. The injured parties are expected to receive a full recovery.

The area was blocked off for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.

No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
