Whitehall Twp, PA – Man Killed in Motorcycle Crash on S Church St

Whitehall Township, PA (July 20, 2022) – A man was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash that took place on a roadway in Whitehall Township on Wednesday evening, July 20.

Lehigh County officials confirmed that the accident happened in the evening hours on South Church Street around the area of Chestnut Street and Bridge Street. A motorcyclist was traveling on the roadway in the area when it was struck by a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are not yet known. The motorcycle was towed away from the scene due to severe damage.

Lehigh County fire crews and paramedics were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Nobody inside the passenger vehicle sustained injuries in the collision.

Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the road was blocked in the area for some time. Police worked to clear the scene as quickly as possible.

No further details have been released at this time. Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
