Whitehall, PA – Two Firefighters Injured in House Fire on N 14th St

Whitehall, PA (March 25, 2022) – Two people were seriously injured in a house fire that took place in Whitehall on Wednesday afternoon, March 23.

According to police, the incident took place around 3 p.m. at a multi-family apartment building at 1343 North 14th Street. The apartment building was broken up into eight different units. Fire crews have not commented on the cause of the fire but it is believed that it started inside one of the units. Multiple people were quickly displaced from the apartment building.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two firefighters were injured in the accident. One firefighter was hospitalized with a burn-related injury and another was hospitalized after experiencing electrical shock.

The area was blocked off for an extended period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues. Police will update as more information becomes available.
