Motorcycle accidents occur way too frequently in the United States. The main cause for motorcycle accidents is negligent driving. The reason being is that most drivers aren’t on the lookout for motorcyclists, even though they’re supposed to pay attention to their surroundings at all time. Drivers get easily distracted by texting, programming a GPS, conversing with another passenger, or falling asleep at the wheel. In more extreme cases drivers are speeding or driving under the influence. All of these actions are examples of negligent driving. More investigation will determine if this motorcycle accident resulted from another driver’s negligent behavior.

Because motorcyclists don’t wear body armor to protect their limbs from the impact of other vehicles, they’re highly susceptible to receiving injuries during a crash. Most common injuries include brain damage, neck injuries, head injuries, broken bones, and internal damage. Injuries are either severe, catastrophic, or fatal. In this case, the motorcyclist’s injuries were fatal; therefore, his family members could pursue a wrongful death case if investigators discover that the accident resulted from negligent driving. No family should have to experience such a tragedy; therefore, the driver responsible should pay for all damages and losses.
