West Chester, PA – Four-Vehicle Truck Accident with Injuries on US-202

West Chester, PA (January 22, 2021) – Around 6:30 a.m. on Friday morning, January 22, a truck accident with injuries occurred on a major roadway in West Chester.

According to authorities, the accident took place in the northbound lanes of US-202 around the area of Matlack Street. Photographs taken at the scene showed that a utility truck crashed into the back of a box truck, sending it into two other vehicles. The accident led to extensive damages.

Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the crash to help those in need. The driver of the utility truck, who has not yet been identified, was trapped in the vehicle. He had to be extricated by fire crews and taken to the hospital, where he has since been listed in critical condition.

Due to the severity of the accident, debris was scattered all over the roadway. Police urged those in the area to use Route 52 as an alternate route.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
