Weisenberg, PA – Myra Rosenberger Killed in Fatal Collision on Mill Creek Rd
Weisenberg, PA (June 10, 2023) – An elderly woman was killed in a fatal collision that took place at an intersection in Weisenberg on Thursday, June 8.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Mill Creek Road and Old Route 22. Police confirmed that a vehicle was traveling in the area when it ran over into the other lane of traffic, causing it to collide head-on with a second vehicle. The involved vehicles were badly damaged in the accident.
Several Weisenberg responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One of the parties inside a vehicle, identified as 89-year-old Myra Rosenberger, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. Police confirmed that she was a passenger in an involved vehicle.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic until police cleared the scene. This led to delays in the area.
No further details have been released, but the investigation into the accident continues.
