Waynesboro, PA – Fatal Pedestrian Crash at W Main St & Mulberry StPa Accident News
Waynesboro, PA (January 1, 2023) – Around 8 p.m. on the night of Saturday, December 31, one person was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Waynesboro.
According to Waynesboro Police, the accident happened at the intersection of West Main Street and Mulberry Street. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was walking in the area when she was struck by a passenger vehicle. The driver of the passenger vehicle allegedly remained at the scene to cooperate with police.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The pedestrian, who has since been identified as a 61-year-old woman, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. Nobody else was hurt as a result of the accident.
Due to the severity of the accident, a large portion of the road was blocked for some time following the crash.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
