Wampum, PA (March 21, 2022) – One person was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash that took place at a Wampum intersection on Monday morning, March 21.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the accident happened at the intersection of Big Beaver Boulevard and Fairlane Boulevard in the early morning hours. Police confirmed that 29-year-old Jacob Watts was traveling north on his motorcycle when he suddenly entered the intersection. At the same time, 51-year-old Michelle Stevens made a left turn at the intersection when she did not have clearance. This caused their vehicles to forcefully collide with each other.

Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Watts was tragically pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. Stevens was not hurt but remained at the scene to cooperate with police.

Due to the severity of the accident, the intersection was blocked in the area for an extended period of time. Police quickly worked to clear the scene.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time.
