Unity, PA – One Airlifted from Auto Wreck on Route 30 near Marguerite Rd

Unity, PA (October 18, 2023) – One man was airlifted from the scene of a major motor vehicle accident that took place in Unity on Tuesday morning, October 17.

According to reports from law enforcement, an SUV was involved in a collision with a tri-axle truck on the eastbound side of Route 30 at around 6:50 a.m. The police and firefighters responded to the scene and closed off the roadway in the area near the intersection with Marguerite Road.

The SUV sustained severe damage as a result of the accident. The driver of the vehicle had to be extricated by firefighters.

The victim was injured in the accident. A medical helicopter responded to the scene to transport the victim to a local hospital for emergency care. The driver of the truck declined medical treatment while at the scene.

The police department is currently investigating the incident.
